Ladies Hats

Ladies hats New are usually made of wool felt, cotton or mixed with a newer fabric and come standard in size 56 or 57. We indicate the difference between new and vintage with the addition [new]. 
Vintage Ladies hats often come in smaller sizes than is common today. Often the old vintage hats are of better quality than what you can find new now. 
Cocktail and Pillbox hats are small felt hats without a brim and sometimes with a veil or feathers. They were very popular in the 50s and 60s, partly thanks to icons of that time such as Grace Kelly and Jackie Kennedy. 
Occasional hats turn a woman into a lady and are often worn at weddings, at (horse-)races or at a funeral. 
Floppy hats are characterized by a very large brim. These hats are often associated with Saint Tropez and Brigitte Bardot. 
Fascinators are hair accessories made of sisal or polyester, often with feathers or tulle. They are pinned in the hair or sit on a diadem.

Vintage items have been previously used and may show minor signs of wear (unless stated otherwise). If an item shows noticable damage, this will be clarified in the description and in the photos. All vintage items are dry cleaned and receive the exact measured size from us (regardless of which size is stated inside a hat).
